Who I am . . .

As an artist, I have spent many years photographing landscapes, wildlife as well as still life scenes.  I started out as a film photographer but now exclusively use digital equipment, personally managing the entire photographic, post production, printing and framing processes. 

Many of my photographs depict the northwestern United States and Canada; however, I have traveled extensively across both countries.  I have also spent time in Great Britain, Europe, Russia, Eastern Africa, the Caribbean, parts of South America, and China.  I seek to capture the unusual, the reflections, and the mystical quality of the world around me.  My background as a nurse and educator lend sensitivity to my observations of life, places and people. 

I currently live in Spokane, Washington, the center of the Inland Northwest region of the United States, although I spend considerable time in northern Idaho as my  husband and I are avid skiers and hikers.

They are available for sale either framed and matted or matted only.  I use the highest quality photographic paper and  mounting materials.  Matting is either white with a black core or black with a white core - and frames are black metal or rustic wood.  Pictures are also available without matting and I can refer you to a framer that I work with closely.

A number of my pictures also are available printed on canvas, an exciting media that gives the appearance of an oil painting.  For these I use wood frames that fit the picture.  I would love to show you some of them.

Recently I am trying out other printing media including metal, a process that produces a spectacular look.
